Recognizing the rich linguistic diversity in Major League Baseball (MLB), we delved 
into the intriguing potential for language exploration within this vibrant community. 
In 2023, Major League Baseball had 269 internationally-born players representing 
19 countries. Duolingo launches a campaign DuoSwingo, which deepens the 
connection between MLB fans and their international players by integrating language 
learning into the ballpark experience.


To start this campaign off, the campaign was launched with San Diego Pades’ fan favorite player, Ha Seong Kim.
DuoSwingo takes over Petco Park, the home ground of the Padres, and transforms the stadium into an immersive language learning environment.
